Layers tab
The Layers tab allows you to control the display of the different project layers in the Time-Location view.
Layers are used to organise activities by theme or type of work. They help structure the reading of the schedule and make it easier to filter the displayed information.
Layer organisation
Each row corresponds to a project layer.
Layers may represent, for example:
- types of work (earthworks, drainage, railway track…)
- disciplines
- work packages
- representation levels of the project
The table allows several parameters to be managed for each layer.
Display order
The Order column allows you to modify the position of layers in the display.
The arrows allow you to move a layer:
- upward
- downward
This order influences how activities are displayed in the Time-Location view when several layers overlap.
Visibility
The Visible column allows a layer to be shown or hidden in the view.
When the layer is checked, the associated activities are visible in the schedule.
When it is unchecked, the activities remain in the project but are no longer displayed in the view.
This makes it possible to:
- simplify the reading of the schedule
- hide certain disciplines
- focus on a specific type of work
Working layer
The Working layer column allows you to define the active layer.
The working layer corresponds to the default layer in which new activities will be created or edited.
Only one layer can be defined as the working layer at a time.
Select all
The Select all button allows you to quickly enable or disable the visibility of all layers.
This option is useful to quickly reset the display of the schedule.
