Activity styles

In Tilos360, an activity style is a template used to define the general characteristics of a type of activity.

An activity style can be reused as many times as needed to create activities in the schedule. It therefore ensures both visual and functional consistency in the representation of the work.

In practice, activity styles are usually defined according to the type of work being performed. For example:

  • stripping
  • excavation
  • embankment
  • drainage
  • cable pulling
  • supervision

Each activity created in the schedule can then rely on one of these styles.

Activity styles make it possible to:

  • standardise the creation of activities
  • ensure a consistent graphical representation
  • improve the readability of the Time-Location schedule
  • save time when creating activities

They therefore form a library of reusable activity templates for the entire project.

An activity style groups together several parameters that serve as a basis when creating an activity.

These parameters can be divided into two categories.

Static parameters correspond to generic information defined by default in the style.

These include for example:

  • the activity name
  • the associated layer
  • the calculation mode
  • optional custom fields

These settings provide the base information when activities are created in the schedule.

Dynamic parameters are directly linked to the graphical representation of activities in the Time-Location schedule.

They allow you to define:

  • the representation type used
  • the line colour
  • the envelope colour
  • the annotation content
  • the position of the annotation relative to the activity

These parameters allow the display of activities to be adapted and improve the readability of the schedule.

Activity styles are defined in the Tilos360 settings.

They are configured in the section:

  • Time-Distance → Task style

From this interface, it is possible to:

  • create a new style
  • organise styles by categories
  • modify an existing style
  • delete a style that is no longer required

These styles can then be used when creating activities in the Time-Location schedule.
