Print areas
Managing print areas
Print areas allow you to define zones on the map that will be used as background maps for deliverables.
These zones determine the geographical extent that will be used when generating project documents.
Types of print areas
Three types of print areas can be defined:
- Free proportions
- Portrait
- Landscape
Each type corresponds to a framing format adapted to the documents that will be generated.
Defining a print area
To create a print area:
- select the desired area type
- draw the area directly on the plan
TILOS 360 then asks you to assign a name to this area.
Once created, the area appears in the Plans and Phases tab within the list of plans.
Rotating a print area
It is possible to rotate a print area in order to optimize the orientation of the background map in the generated deliverables.
To rotate an area:
- select the print area
- move the cursor over the red point
- click and rotate the area while holding the mouse button
This feature allows you to precisely adjust the orientation of the generated documents.
