====== Zone categories ======

Zone categories are defined in the project settings, in the **Phasing**
section under **Manage zone categories**.

===== Zone categories =====

TILOS 360 allows you to define **zone categories** and associate
them with the different zones of the project.

Categories allow zones to be organized according to their role
or their nature within the project.

For example, it is possible to define categories such as:

  * **Temporary area**
  * **Area to remove / demolish**
  * **Area to construct**
  * **Cross-section area**
  * **Longitudinal profile area**
  * **Plan view area**

Each zone can then be associated with one of these categories.

===== Category behavior =====

For each category, it is possible to define a specific behavior
depending on the **zone status**.

These parameters may include:

  * the **display color**
  * the **clipping** associated with the zone

This allows precise control over how zones are displayed
in the different views of the project.

===== Use in LIVE VIEW =====

In **LIVE VIEW**, it is possible to display or hide
certain zone categories.

This makes it possible, for example, to visualize only
specific phases or specific types of project elements.

===== Use in deliverables =====

Zone categories can also be used when generating
**deliverables**.

Zones displayed in the generated documents can then
be filtered according to their category.

This makes it possible to produce documents adapted
to different uses:

  * technical documents
  * communication documents
  * construction monitoring documents
