====== Overview ====== The **Gantt chart** allows you to represent project activities according to a **time-based** logic. It is a central tool used to: * organise activities over time * visualise task sequences * structure dependencies between tasks * analyse the overall consistency of the schedule In Tilos360, the Gantt chart complements the **Time-Location diagram**. While the Time-Location view highlights the position of activities along the project alignment, the Gantt chart provides a clearer view of their sequence over time. ----- ===== Access the Gantt design view ===== The Gantt design view is accessible from the **navigation sidebar** of Tilos360. Simply click the **Gantt** button dedicated to this view. Once this view is open, you access the **Gantt design interface**, which allows you to create, organise and analyse the activities of the schedule. ----- ===== What can be done in the Gantt chart? ===== The **Gantt chart** allows you to: * create activities * modify their main properties * create links between activities * organise the table and display * filter or group information * prepare printing or integration into a deliverable It is therefore a working view particularly suited for building and reviewing the schedule. ----- ===== A complementary logic to the Time-Location view ===== The **Gantt chart** and the **Time-Location diagram** do not compete with each other. They address two different needs: * the **Gantt chart** facilitates the temporal reading of the schedule * the **Time-Location diagram** facilitates the spatio-temporal reading of the project In practice, these two views are complementary and allow the same project to be analysed from different perspectives. ----- ===== Main topics in this section ===== This part of the documentation details the main uses of the **Gantt chart**: * Creating activities * Creating links between activities * Table organisation * Display and navigation * Filtering * Grouping and sorting * Printing and deliverables These pages will guide you step by step through the use of the **Gantt chart** in Tilos360.
